VijayShanker turns out as the hero in 2 ODI.

Who knows that Vijay Shanker would turn to be the hero of the match with the last over performance. When the ball was handover to VijayShanker to bowl the last over it was a shock for the audience as he didn’t get much chance to bowl in the last few matches. There were only fa ew options left with Virat Kohli either he has to go with kedar jadav or with Vijay shanker.

Much to the audience surprise vijay took two wickets and won the match for india. Vijay shanker had a good day with the bat and scored a  good 46 along with captain Virat kohli. These both had a good partnership which was much needed for India in scoring 250 In 50 Overs. Middle order has failed in the second ODI which performed well in the first ODI. The match turned to India favour when jadeja grabbed the opportunity of running out Peter handscomb who having a good partnership with marcus stoinis. That runout changed the course of the match a bit in India favour. And then comes the king of death bowling and also the world’s best bowler in recent times took two wickets in 46 th over which has shaken the Australian by giving only 1 run. Marcus stoinis took the match to the last over and was very confident that he could score the 15 runs of the last over. But he was surprised with vijay shanker’s bowling and got out for an LBW. Then Vijay shankar cleaned up adam zampa with a beautiful ball which won the match for india with 8 runs and  a 2-0 lead in the 5 match series.

“It was an opportunity to redeem myself after the expensive over I bowled. I was literally waiting for this opportunity, wanted to bowl under pressure because only if I deliver, will they trust me. I was up for the challenge. Around the 43rd over, I was telling myself that I am bowling the final over and defend the score, just prepared myself a bit,” Shankar told in an interview with the broadcaster.

“I was preparing myself. I thought I should be mentally ready to go and bowl and defend 10 runs an over. I was just clear about what I have to do. I think those things helped me when I came onto bowl. I didn’t have pressure, to be honest,” he added

So if India has to seal the series they just need one win in the left over 3 matches and the australian team needs to win all the three to take the series home.
