RK Nagar By-Election- TTV Dinakaran wins the Jaya’s Seat By A Huge Margin.
Chennai: TTV Dinakaran has won the RK Nagar By-Election by a huge margin, which has fallen vacant after the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa last December. The independent candidate TTV Dinakaran, who was sidelined by the AIADMK by the EPS and OPS, won the election by a huge margin. The Rk -Nagar assembly seat has been considered most prestigious and much sought, as it was the seat held by Late chief minister Jaya Lalitha. TTV Dhinakaran has been evicted from the AIADMK along with VK Sasikala After AIADMK’s party led by E Palaniswami (EPS) and former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam (OPS) after they merged in August.
TTV Dinakaran has declared himself as the true political heir of the late Jaya Lalitha, after winning the elections. He even went on to say that he will bring down the EPS and OPS government within three months. The By-poll has been considered as the battle for Jaya Lalitha’s Legacy, which is primarily between TTV Dinakaran and the coalition of chief minister E Palaniswami and deputy CM O Panneerselvam, while TTV Dinakaran has contested as independent, EPS and OPS had fielded Madhusudhanan. The DMK, as fielded their candidate N Maruthu Ganesh, To make the contest triangular.
After the shocking loss in the RK Nagar assembly constituency, this would be big set back EPS and OPS government and sends a message that they might not be in total control after the split with Sasikala and TTV Dinkaran. This loss is also a big Jolt for the DMK’s led by Stalin, who has campaigned aggressively for this election in the RK Nagar Assembly constituency.
The Final Tally of the RK- Nagar Election:
TTV Dinakaran (Independent): 89,013
E Madhusudhanan (AIADMK): 48,306
N Maruthu Ganesh (DMK): 24,651
