Police seek details of Sushant’s contracts with Yash Raj films

Days after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, cops have now started to seek details of his contracts with Yash Raj Films. The Mumbai Police is now investigating the matter of death and has sent a letter to Yash Raj Films, seeking details of the contract Sushant Singh had signed with them.
As per another official, Rhea Chakraborty, who is a close friend of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, recorded her statement with the Police on Thursday. She told the investigators that he had ended his contract with Yash Raj Films and the actor had also asked her to stop working under that banner.
Sushant Singh is famously known for his debut movie Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: the untold story, Chhichhore, was found dead in his apartment at Bandra on Sunday. The news had sent deep shock waves to the movie fraternity and many movie stars took to Twitter and Instagram to express their disbelief and shock.
The officials said the police are investigating various angles and intend to find any professional rivalry in the death. The Mumbai Police so far has recorded 13 statements including from the family members of the actor and his close friends like Rhea Chakraborty and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
The police intend to call a few more people in this regard in the coming days, including those who played a role in the signing of contracts between the actor and the production houses. Sushant was seen in two movies of Yash Raj-Shudh Desi Romance (2013) and Dibakar’sDetective ByomkeshBakshy (2015). His third film titled Paaniwas his next, directed by Shekhar Kapoor. However, reportedly, Yash Raj backed out of the project.
