Pension distribution to start from May 4th: Kerala State finance department plans
The State finance department has announced that it has started to make arrangements for the distribution of pension for beneficiaries, from the treasury of the government. This will start from May 4th and go on until May 8th. The statement was issued on Wednesday.
All the pensioners can avail their pension from 10 am to 1 pm on May 4th. This is for pensioners whose PTSB account number ending with digit zero. For the others whose PTSB account number ending with digit one can avail their pension from 2pm to 4pm on May 4th. On May 5th, all the pensioners whose account numbers end with two, will be catered to in the morning with number ‘three’ in the afternoon hours.
On May 6th, pensioners who account number ending in four will get their chance from 10am to 1pm and those with digit five as their ending number, from 2pm to 4pm. For people with last digit six and seven on May 7th, accounts ending with digits eight and nine on May 8th in the noon.
The Government of Kerala has made plans for a strict pension distribution amidst the lockdown, ensuring that the lockdown norms are duly followed. The people of the state are also advised to not step out without face mask despite the partial relaxation at certain parts of Kerala. Additionally, the state government has imposed a strict fine for those stepping out of the face masks. The state has imposed a fine of Rs. 5000 to all the violators. The State police chief LoknathBehra has issued this order. SMS (Soap, Mask and Social distancing) is the new theme of the second phase of Break the Chain campaign in the state.
Hand sanitizers are kept at all important points, including bigger supermarkets, ATM centres, banks, hospitals and other government offices.
