India has been chosen as a member of the United Nation’s Commission on Status of Women, a body of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), said TS Tirumurti, lasting agent of India to the United Nations, on Monday.

Taking to Twitter, TS Tirumurti stated, “India wins seat in renowned ECOSOC body! India chose individuals from the Commission on Status of Women (CSW).
