“He will retire when it’s time” quotes Dhonis’ childhood coach after fake rumours started spreading:

Just yesterday when the world of cricket was deciding on the road map for the future of cricket, people on twitter started a hash tag called #DhoniRetires on social media and soon it was trending. People are just assuming that the 38 year old former caption of the Indian cricket team is going to retire. The captain who got India its world cup twice has not given out any information yet.

Last night, Sakshi Dhoni, wife of the wicket keeper took to twitter putting a stop on the rumours quoting ’It’s only rumors. I understand lockdown has made people mentally unstable’. She was not wrong to point the rumors out but she deleted the tweet immediately after a few minutes.

After Sakshi’s tweet the fans of the 38 year old former Indian Cricket captain started using the hash tag#DhoniNeverTireson twitter to come out in support of their favourite player. This hash tag soon trended o Twitter India and we surely saw the love fans for pouring in for our favourite captain.

Not just the wife and fans, Dhoni’s childhood coach Keshav Ranjan Banerjee also came out in support of the player and made a statement that Dhoni would not announce his retirement silently, he would choose a more dignified approach to make his fans and the BCCI aware of his decision.

In the statement he gave recently he stated that, Dhoni is not the kind of person to just call up people to tell them he is retiring. He will do it when its time and he definitely know how to do it.  Just like when he did a proper press conference to call out his time in Test career, similarly he will inform the BCCI and call out a proper press conference to inform the world of his decision.

Banerjee also continues by saying that we should not go by social media as everything is becoming a trend now-a-day. We don’t know what real news is or what fake news is. He concludes by saying that Dhoni will definitely let us all know before he decides to retire.
