Can’t take, Won’t take: Actress Parvathy Lodges a complaint against cyberbullying.
The government of Kerela set a classic example of being against the cyberbullying and assault against women yet again.
Award-winning actress Parvathy who recently bagged the best actress at IFFI was brutally trolled and abused on various social media platforms for voicing her opinion on the Malayalam superstar Mammootty starrer movie ‘kasaba’.
At an open forum organized on the sidelines of the recently held International Film Festival of Kerala, she voiced her opinion against glorifying misogyny on screen and expressed concern about the absence of women perspective in cinema.
To prove her point, Parvathy said she had recently watched Kasaba.Though she did not mention the actor’s name, she said the film had disappointed her as it featured a great actor mouthing “misogynistic dialogues”.
She had also said such kind of dialogues from a superstar would give a wrong impression to people.Following this event, she was abused and trolled on the social media by the fans of Mammootty. The actress went ahead and filed a complaint against the cyberbullies was immediately reacted to.IG Manoj Abraham, nodal officer, Cyberdome and Finance Minister Thomas Isaac also reacted in favor of Parvathy.
Later on 26th, Thomas Isaac tweeted in favor of Parvathy also praising her for making Kerela proud of her winning at the International Film Festival of India.Let us all take a moment to appreciate, Parvathy for standing up for herself in a male-dominated industry and winning our hearts yet over again, this time not for acting.
