Brazil President mentions Lord Hanuman in a letter to request India for the anti-malaria drug
Hydroxychloroquine, which is an anti-malarial drug is being requested throughout the continents to treat the coronavirus pandemic has 70% of all over production in India.
The demand of this drug is getting higher and the leaders across the world are looking at India for help. When the prime minister of India decided to stop the export of this particular drug The US president made a public threat of retaliation.
And now when Brazil is in need, the president of Brazil, Mr. Jair Bolsonaro wrote a letter to Narendra Modi quoting Ramayana, on this auspicious day of Hanuman Jayanti. He said “Just as Lord HanumanBrought the holy medicine (Sanjeevani Booti) from the Himalayas to save the life of Lord Ram’s brother Lakshmana and Jesus healed those who were sick and restored the sight of Bartomeu, India, and Brazil will overcome this global crisis by joining forces and sharing blessings for the sake of People. Please accept, your Excellency, the assurances of my highest esteem and consideration” in the letter to Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
India had taken a decision to stop the export of Paracetamol and HCQS because as the demand heightened the stock was depleting at a higher rate.
Anurag Srivastava, the foreign ministry spokesperson later said that India had decided that they would supply Hydroxychloroquine and paracetamol in appropriate quantities to all the neighboring countries who are in need and also supply to the nations worldwide who have been affected severely by the pandemic.
This is a proud day for everyone as today is ‘Hanuman Jayanti’, the birthday of Lord Hanuman and we could not be more proud. India had lifted the ban on exporting the drug to show humanity and help the nations in need. Let’s hope the world also comes to help us when India needs their help.
