#AsktheCM campaign gains momentum in Kerala: Twitter abuzz
Recently, twitter has started #AsktheCM campaign where the social media users can ask the Chief Minister questions on a live session in the platform. This initiative will begin with the Keral Chief Minister Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, who is expected to go online on the 23rd May at 12pm and wil handle the questions raised by netizens.
Following Mr. Vijayan, two other chief ministers have also consented to participate in the #AaktheCM campaign. This includes Jharkhand’s Hemant Soren and Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. The two are also expected to hold the twitter dialog. Twitter is also expecting more of state chief ministers to join this campaign.
#AsktheCM is a campaign series that aims at bringing citizens and Chief Minsters across the state closer and also to aid active and real-time dialog, just like it would happen in a digital public square. The Twitter public policy director for South Asia expects a very positive outlook in this campaign.
The Kerala chief minister himself took to the Twitter to announce that he would be answering any questions people may have. Even before this initiative, several people had used the hashtag to ask questions to him.
A range of questions on his comment on plans to revive the cultural spaces like art, exhibition and theatres came to him. The hashtag used was #AskPinarayiViajayan.
Kerala has been a role model for the many Indian states and the state has also been a recipient of appreciation from people across the world. Kerala has effectively tackled the corona virus by being highly vigilant. The state has been cautious since day one. Combined with the efforts of Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja, Kerala has achieved what many Indian states could not. The effective administration and strict helped the state recover faster.
