Actor Kishore, the new bee in the directorial house for ‘Black and White’
The new bilingual flick upcoming is a black and white film named ‘Black and White’. The bilingual film will be made both in Kannada and Tamil, a first attempt by Kishore Kumar G. The movie is also expected to be dubbed in Telugu. The actor has played in a lot of movies including UlidavaruKanadanthe, Jatta, and Attahasa, including in Tamil movies like Aadukalam, Haridas and as an antagonist in Kabali, Puli Murugan, Thoongavanam and Arambham. He is sharing the directorial responsibility with a new comer.
Black and White is a movie that has a limited number of cast and stars like Roger Narayan, SrikrishnaDayal and Surekha. They are expected to be seen in prominent roles in the film. Kishore is currently busy with editing work, and is also responsible for multiple other roles for the project. Keerthan is composing the music for the film, with Tapas Nayak in charge of sound and cinematography by Nagesh Acharya. The production of the unit is in talks with the OTT platform for the release of the film.
The movie is a psychological thriller that attempts to examine the boundaries of sanity and insanity. The director-cum actor describes it as a narrative between a husband and a wife, a movie that dwells on the duality of male-female, Ying-Yang, good and the bad. The movie also tries to explores the how human expressions are manipulated through the many different means.
The movie is set in 1984 and the tram intends to owe tribute to traditions of Hitchcock and Kubrick. The movie draws heavy inspiration from what the term ‘big brother’ first introduced by popular novelist George Orwell.
The film is produced under Visthaara banner and Anupama Kumar’s production house called Looking Glass. Anupama plays the female lead in the movie.
